Our latest turnkey project, now on its way to a valued customer in the plastics industry, was designed specifically to provide high-accuracy dosing of regrind plastic pellets.
Comprehensive Turnkey Solution
This project exemplifies our expertise in process engineering, incorporating a range of precision feeding technologies, including vibratory tray feeders, single screw, double screw, and Flexwall feeders from Kubota Brabender Technologie GmbH.
Our team was responsible for designing and manufacturing a custom-built frame, developing a tailored control panel, and programming an advanced refilling system to ensure seamless operation. The system was meticulously assembled in our workshop, where we conducted a full factory acceptance test to guarantee functionality and performance before delivery and installation on-site.
Enhancing an Existing Extrusion Line
This particular project was commissioned by a long-standing Genesis customer based in Gloucestershire. The client required a series of new feeders to enhance an existing extrusion line, facilitating the precise dosing of various materials, including plastic granules, glass fiber, and minor additives, some of which presented handling challenges due to their powdery nature.
Tailored Feeding and Refill System
Given the customer’s requirement for an integrated solution, Genesis Process Solutions designed a system that worked seamlessly with their existing vacuum conveyors. For feeders utilizing vacuum conveyors, we supplied intermediate holding hoppers fitted with auto-refill valves, allowing the customer to mount their conveyors directly onto the hoppers.
For minor additive additions, where manual handling was necessary, we provided small hoppers with auto-refill valves and tipping grids. This ensured that each feeder always had product readily available, significantly reducing the time spent in “refill mode” and increasing overall dosing accuracy.
Advanced Control Integration for Precision Feeding

To ensure seamless operation, our in-house software and controls engineer designed and supplied a dedicated control panel for the Brabender feeders, featuring the Brabender OP16 HMI. We also integrated a Genesis touch-screen interface to streamline the refilling process, enhancing both efficiency and user control.
